1. Painting - Rivette 1939
Owned and trained by Harry Bamber this painting by W O Bourman (I have found little on the artist) shows the mare against an Australian country backdrop. It is reputed to have come from the 'trainer'. Given Bamber both trained and owned the horse it is possible. What is without doubt is that the artist used a shot of the horse in the mounting yard after her Melbourne Cup win to use as the study for the painting. Newly framed but just superb. Postage not included.
